The Austing Haus was lovingly designed and built in 1984 by Paul Austing.
Known for over 20 years for comfort and hospitality the Austing Haus is also known as the tallest timber framed building in North America. 16 of our 24 rooms have wood burning fireplaces which are cleaned and reset each day of your stay. You will love having breakfast in our beautiful dining room with amazing views of the snow covered mountains. In addition to breakfast we provide shuttle service to and from the ski area(about five minutes away). When you return from your day on the slopes or sightseeing in Taos you can soak in the indoor hot tub or join your fellow guests for hot cider and snacks in the dining room. Each rooom is equipped with a microwave, a refrigerator and a television. Choose from rooms with two queen beds, one king bed or our loft rooms that comfortably sleep four people.
